You have just acquired a new boat or want to be a little more adventurous with your own boat and crew, but need some confidence and experience before tackling longer passages on your own. You can join Holy Grounder as part of a flotilla on any of the long SailCork cruises or Milebuilders (such as Isles of Scilly, Wild Atlantic Way or Cork & Kerry Cruise). With Eddie English as fleet commodore, you will be guided in boat and cruise preparation as well as passage planning. A SailCork expert will visit your boat to go through your safety equipment in advance giving you helpful guidance and advice. You will attend a daily skippers briefing with the pilotage and navigation challenges for that day. On passage, advice and encouragement is only a VHF call away and usually the yachts sail within sight of each other. Of course there are to obligitory social runs ashore where tales of navigation and sailing adventure get longer as the evenings go on later.Read more
