West Cork is blessed with a wonderful coastline and the area of Baltimore to Crookhaven is certainly the mariners favourite. Come aboard our online courses and explore this amazing area with Eddie English. Eddie has enjoyed exploring this area for over 50 years and wants to share his knowledge with you. This area is divided into 2 classes.
CLASS 1: We will visit the principal port of Baltimore and the islands including Cape and Sherkin (O’Driscoll Territory) and we will take a peek up the Ilen River and more of the smaller islands. (Hare, Skeames, Spanish) Tales include the Sack
of Baltimore in 1631 and the “Fisheries”
CLASS 2: We will visit Ballydehob, Schull & Crookhaven (O’Mahony Territory). We include Castle, Horse, Long and Coney Islands and the Calves and the Carthys. We will highlight the best anchorages, beaches and hotspots - as well as pointing out areas to avoid!
Tales include the Leamcon pirates and the Fish Pallaces.

It is true that Eddie has a love affair with the Isles of Scilly - he has been going there since the year he started SailCork back in 1974.
