Objective | You will understand basic coastal navigation in a way that you can navigate in practice on a small sailing boat or powerboat. A great foundation for the full Day Skipper 16 class navigation course. |
Location | From your own home. The course is Interactive which means we use Zoom and Google classroom and the SailCork Tutors led by Eddie English will be on screen teaching you for the full duration of each class. |
Equipment Included | The RYA course pack: the essential navigation and seamanship book, exercises booklet, 2 practice charts, a plotter, a dividers and the Training Almanac book. |
What to bring | A4 Notebook, pens, 2B pencils, eraser, sharpener. A laptop or desktop computer (Windows, Apple or Chromebook), with a broadband connection suitable for Zoom sessions. You will need to install the Zoom app on your computer with audio and video facilities. Note that using a tablet or phone will not meet the requirements of the course due to limitations of screen size. |
