The SailCork “Taste” of powerboating runs from our base at beautiful East Ferry.  You are introduced to some Powerboating skills under the safe supervision of our qualified Instructor. After a safety briefing in our chartroom your instructor will ensure you are kitted for the conditions. You will see how a boat is prepared and learn the basic controls before departing from the tranquil surroundings of East Ferry. Then it’s on to tour the magnificent Cork Harbour at high speed. See Cobh from the sea, Spike and Haulbowline Islands and vessels plying the waters of this vast harbour before returning to base and planning your next trip afloat!

Boat 6.5m Excalibur RIB 120hp Mercruiser inboard diesel engine, 5.5 m Humber RIB 90hp Honda four stroke engine, 4m Narwhal RIB 15hp Honda four stroke engine.

Objective Gain an appreciation of what powerboating entails.

Equipment Included Buoyancy aids or lifejackets.
What to bring Essential to bring rain proof jacket and trousers, you cannot be allowed afloat without suitable clothing for powerboating in all conditions. Note that it can be cooler on a powerboat, due to the effect of wind at high speed (bring one layer more than think you need!).
